The journey of becoming a mother is uniquely created, designed to be transformative. Whether this is your first time or you are embarking on this path for the second, or fifth time- each journey is deserving of special care, attention, and respect.
Often the three stages (pregnancy, birth, & postpartum) can feel overwhelming or even daunting for a mother to walk through without proper support.
I believe in the power of women holding space for other women as they cross over into bringing new life to this world.
I truly believe as women and mothers we have an inner knowing and God given wisdom to know exactly what to do- but I also understand that having a safe place to land can have an extremely positive impact on your entire experience. And that’s where I come In.
My goal here is to be an anchor and a guide as you embark on this life changing experience.
I have experience, knowledge, and tools to help you navigate all that is to come during this time.
More importantly, I am attuned to the great honor it is to be brought into the sacred space of birth and postpartum. Therefore I do not take this role lightly.
Meet Carly
A little about me and how I got here!
I’m a 34 year old mom of three and married to a spectacular man.
I love cooking things from scratch, getting out in nature with the fam, learning about holistic wellness, reading and researching about birth, gardening, and other fun sorts.
I have a degree in psychology, and have spent a few years working in the field of child development and special needs. Psychology has been a long time love and interest of mine. But after I became pregnant for my first of two daughters, I decided to resign from that work to be home with my kids.
My drive behind birth work came after I had the pleasure of birthing my two daughters (only 10.5 months apart) in the comfort of my home. With the wonderful, personal support of a midwife and doula.
My first pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience was not at all what I imagined such a special time to look like. I was young, uninformed, and lacked the proper support. So after seeing the night and day difference of what pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was and is designed to be, I knew I had to do something to change the narrative.
I quickly realized so many women, like I once did, believe there is only one way to experience pregnancy and birth: under the eyes and scope of modern medical practice/care. Which I feel, over time, has caused women to become detached from the way pregnancy & birth was intended to unfold. Giving birth is a rite of passage, not a procedure, and should be treated as such.
Through my personal experiences, training, and knowledge I continue to acquire, I feel so strongly about helping other women to empower themselves, advocate for themselves and their babies. and seek to experience the birth they truly desire + deserve. One of peace, embodiment, and sovereignty.
